Introducing: Economic development

Welcome to the first column of Economic Chatter. On the first Friday of
each month, I'll be talking about the spectrum of economic development
in North County. Some days we'll look at it through the views of
business leaders; some days it will be just my thoughts. Other days I'd
like to focus on ideas you've raised. Overall, I want to provoke
conversation on what matters to our regional economy. I invite you to
send me your ideas on topics you think I should consider.
