Innovation a key to successful business

In 2003 the San Diego North Economic Development Council enlisted the
aid of a Senior Experience Team from the College of Business
Administration at Cal State San Marcos to conduct a survey on what makes
North County unique from a business prospective.

The results showed that our region had a higher percentage of companies
that relied on creativity and innovation to "drive" their business than
other parts of the county. With a large majority of the businesses in
North County made up of five employees or fewer, the ability to bring
products and service to market faster and at a lower cost are essential
to their survival.
