San Marcos, CA – The San Diego North Economic Development Council announced today that a new Board of Directors was chosen at the group’s Board Meeting on Thursday, June 14, 2007.
Paul O’Neal will be the new Chairman of the Board. O’Neal is the President of Paul L. O’Neal and Associates, a consulting firm. He will replace the outgoing Chairman, Chris Jennewein, Vice President of Internet Operations at the San Diego Union-Tribune, who will remain on the Board of Directors.
Julie Wright will be the new Vice Chair. Wright is the President of (W)right On Communications, a full-spectrum communications firm with offices in San Diego and Vancouver.
Diane Strand will be the new Treasurer. Strand is Owner and Producer of JDS Video & Media Productions, Inc., a full service video production and media solution company located in Escondido.
Representing County Supervisor Bill Horn, Courtney Berlin will be the new Secretary. Horn is on the Board of Supervisors for the County of San Diego, and is a founding member of the San Diego North EDC.
The new Board of Directors will also include: Garry Bonelli, Communications Director for SANDAG; Kevin Ham, Economic Development Director for the City of Vista; Juanita Hayes, Public Affairs Manager for SDG&E; Gary Hill, Director of Community Involvement for the Gemological Institute of America; Hugh Constant, Vice President of the San Diego World Trade Center; Linda Bailey, Merriam Mountains; Karen King, Executive Director of the North County Transit District; Joe Gabaldon, Director of Government and Community Relations for Cox Communications; Gregg Landers, CBIZ Nation Smith Hermes Diamond; Dennis Guseman, Dean of the College of Business Administration at Cal State San Marcos; Varinda Missett, Advertising Director of the North County Times; Victoria Muñoz Richart, President of MiraCosta College; Robert Deegan, President of Palomar College; Noel Trias, Managing Director of Benefits Matrix; Jeff Segall, Director of Community Relations for Tri-City Medical Center; Karen Haynes, President of Cal State San Marcos; Dan Wray, CEO of BioFilm, Inc.; John Osborne, Director of External Affairs for AT&T.
